I am beginning to feel like brown (booths and tables) is a common restaurant color these days. Still, resembles an industrial pizzeria that serves alcohol. Not bad inside. The waitress was great, apologies for forgetting her name. She was very honest and upfront with her recommendations, nice, friendly, and attentive. Never had Detroit style pizza before in my life, but after having the 313 I think it's great. I'm not a fan of Sicilian even remotely, but the subtle differences between Detroit and Sicilian make Detroit way more appealing. Love the less sauce, more cheese, fluffier dough, and crispy crust melted around the edges. Two of us shared that and one dude got a Chicago style pizza for himself. Food was good all around. The waitress hooked us up with an offset discount since I ordered a few beers; pizza price was reduced a little bit in lieu of the beer. I'd come back if my work ever sent me to Toledo again.

My family and I went one night to have some Chicago Style Pizza at Pizza Papalis. This restaurant makes both that kind as well as Detroit Style. We came in and there were possibly only three other tables taken. It did not take much time to get seated. We ordered some buffalo wings to get started. The wings were decent, they had heat and some flavor but nothing to write home about. We tried the Chicago style pizza and it certainly was delicious. Was it the best we have ever had, no... maybe not even #2 but hey top 3 isn't bad and we've had Chicago Style Pizza all over. It was a great meal, and my family was glad to come.
I have eaten here a few times at others request. The service has always been good and I've never not enjoyed it but it isn't my favorite. Just because I dont love deep dish crust and I have a thing about soggy pepperoni. I have had Giordanos in Chicago and this IMO is as good if you like that style of pizza. I have also had their regular style hand toss pizza and its pretty good. Its not somewhere I'd go out if my way to eat at but If you are going to an event downtown, craving Chicago pan pizza you'll be happy eating here.

A great place to get pizza in Toledo. You get to choose regular, Detroit style or Chicago thick. Now that I've had them all I can definitely recommend the Detroit style. They nail that crispy edge on the delicious little rectangle. The Chicago style is good. Although I would recommend well done.
